CALLASEKAIA

CALLASEKAIA is located 500 meters from the  Hersham's Beach, a quiet residential suburb of Great Brak River Village in the Southern Cape, midway between George and Mossel Bay.

Hersham Beach is part of the scenic Garden Route and is situated in the midst of the area renowned for whale watching (from June to November).

THINGS TO DO

In the immediate vicinity of CALLASEKAIA Guesthouse you will find several scenic routes, hiking trails, picnic spots, golf courses (including the internationally known Fancourt Golf Course), beach walks, and bird watching spots.

Go sea fishing on the beach or take a boat-fishing trip on the rivers and lagoons in our vicinity. For the more adventurous - dare to go shark cage diving near Seal Island or bungi jump from the Gouritz River Bridge.

Take a trip on the Choo-Tjoe steam hauled train along the coast from George, through and across fern-covered hills, forests, lakes and streams, to Knysna, passing Victoria Bay and crossing the Kaaiman River bridge.

Visit Knysna's famous Heads and take a lagoon boat trip from the Knysna Waterfront.

Experience the magic of indigenous forests and be awed by the 800-year-old yellow wood tree at Woodville or take a drive through the scenic Outeniqua Pass to the Cango Caves and Ostrich Farms near Oudtshoorn.
